José Luís das Dores Sousa (promotor: Prof. Dr. Sebastiaan Eeltink) from the Department of Chemical Engineering (CHIS) received the Best Poster Award for outstanding student contributions granted by the journal Chromatographia at the 23rd International Symposium on Separation Sciences (ISSS 2017). The conference comprised of interactive presentations and discussions on new research developments of separation science, important applications and demonstrations of the most recent analytical instrumentation. His poster entitled “Thermoplastic microfluidic chips for high-performance liquid-chromatography: practical aspects of chip prototyping, stationary-phase implementation, and application”, highlighted microfluidic chip technology for liquid chromatography and proof-of-concept of a novel on-chip injection functionality.
